When COVID-19 impacted the world it was crucial for everyone to come together and help. As industrial designers we are familiar with materials and the benefits of choosing the right material. So we developed Hookd. Hookd is a tool to help you navigate public spaces and cuts down on your exposure to potentially infected surfaces. It is made from copper and brass (an alloy of copper and zinc = cheaper) both of which have natural antimicrobial properties that break down virus cells on contact.
