Upcycled clothing project.
Infinity Line
The Project:
The Infinity Line redefines sustainability in fashion. Crafted with a revolutionary weave pattern using recycled or existing textiles, it offers a transformative solution for repairing and reinventing your wardrobe. From hoodies to shoes, shirts to pants, the versatility of this weave knows no bounds.
Developed in collaboration with Vibram™, the Infinity Line embodies innovation and environmental consciousness, paving the way for a stylish and sustainable future.
The Process:
While conceptualizing the Easy Seat, I crafted a unique weave pattern that didn't find its place in that project. However, its potential lingered, awaiting the perfect opportunity. That moment arrived when I ventured into designing sustainable fashion.
Leveraging laser cutting and die-cutting techniques, I meticulously crafted squares from various materials to construct the shoe. Through this process, I pioneered a series of intricate weave patterns, each meticulously tailored to sculpt 3D objects. These patterns seamlessly embrace the natural curves and contours of the human form, breathing life into sustainable fashion.
The Final Build:
As I tried to familiarize myself with the contours of the foot I wanted to explore the translation between the flat pattern and the 3D foot last. Using my series of different patterns I was able to create a form that contours the foot while enabling the user to put on and take off the shoe.
There are infinite possibilities.
